The CBT – Compulsory Basic Training – is an introduction to motorcycling. It is designed to provide you with the riding skills that you will need to pass your full license course. Successfully complete your CBT and you are legally entitled to ride on the road.

What should you expect?
Spread over two days (Saturday & Sunday), this course gives you the time and attention you need to develop your riding skills step by step. With small group sizes and experienced instructors, you’ll receive personalised guidance in a relaxed, supportive environment. This course has been designed to help riders that need a little more time and support to get safely on the road.

FAQ
what to bring
a helmet which complies with BS 6658:1985. Your Honda Approved Training school will be able to provide you with this if you do not have one yet.
a jacket which should ideally be warm, waterproof and provide good abrasion protection
good quality leather (or strong material) gloves. Ideally these should cover (extend above) the wrist
a pair of sturdy boots which cover the ankles, and which provide good grip
tough jeans or trousers – no shorts or lightweight materials
Bring your own kit or request to borrow a jacket, helmet, and gloves. You will not be allowed to participate if you do not have all of these.
Bring your own packed lunch and a drink. We will not be close to anywhere to purchase refreshments.

Glasses, if you need them for driving
Please dress appropriately for the weather. Check the temperature and forecast for rain.
WHAT NOW
