From researching the best training options to mastering her riding skills, Georgia’s experience with Honda Motorcycling Safety Training helped her gain the confidence and ability to achieve her full motorcycle license. Here’s what she had to say about her journey.
How did you find out about Honda Motorcycling Safety Training?
Having grown up in Dorset, I knew I wanted to complete my training in an area that I was familiar with. Feeling comfortable on the roads was important to me, so I began researching online and quickly realised I wanted to learn on a Honda. That made training with you the perfect choice because I could also learn to ride on a new Honda Bike!
What’s the most memorable experience you’ve had on your Honda motorcycle?
Passing my Module 1 test was a huge moment for me. I had been a little bit nervous about it I and didn’t want to retake it, so succeeding on the first attempt was a major achievement. Another standout experience was the first time I rode the Honda Hornet 750. It felt completely different from the 125cc I had started on, and I instantly knew that I was going to love riding bigger bikes—it was just so much fun!
When did you first get into motorcycles, and what sparked your interest?
Less than a year ago, I started noticing motorcycles more and more, and my interest quickly grew. While I had always liked cars, they never fully captured my attention. But after watching bike-related content on social media, I became hooked. I saw motorcycling as an exciting challenge and, despite knowing the costs and safety considerations, I had no doubt that I was making the right decision.

What advice would you give to someone thinking about learning to ride?
“Don’t stress if you struggle at first!” I remember feeling quite choppy during my CBT, especially with speed control, and I even questioned whether I could do it! But by the end of the day, I felt so much more comfortable. The instructors were incredibly supportive and helped build my confidence, they provide a really inclusive environment and nothing is too much trouble. My advice would be to stick with it, trust the process, and remember that things will just suddenly click into place after a few lessons.
If you could describe your motorcycling journey in three words, what would they be?
Memorable – Proud – Thrilling
How does the transition from your CBT to a more powerful bike feel?
I was nervous about moving up from a 125cc to a bigger bike. I had only spent a few hours riding before starting my Direct Access Scheme (DAS) training, so it felt like a big leap. However, I was surprised by how quickly I adapted. Riding a larger motorcycle turned out to be easier than expected—it was smoother, more stable, and incredibly enjoyable. With the right support from my instructors, I quickly built confidence, and once I overcame the initial nerves, I realised that the bike responded exactly how I wanted it to.
Georgia’s journey is a testament to the fact that with the right training, determination, and a love for motorcycling, anyone can achieve their riding goals.
